I just had a phone call that started with the above statement. “I’m sorry to hear that, maybe we can help you” was my response. To paraphrase Paul Harvey… here is the rest of the story.
There was a boy about 120 miles west of Georgetown MA who was escorting a friend to the freshman/sophomore Frolic (a semi formal Dance). As any proper young man would do, he ordered a wrist corsage from a florist in his local town. On his was to Georgetown he stopped at the shop and picked up the corsage, got in the car showed it to mom, the look on her face confirmed his suspicions…this corsage was really ugly! It was too big, the wrong colors the wrong flowers there was nothing good about it at all. They decided it would have to do because if they waited for another to be made they would be late. Thanks to todays tech savvy teens and their resourcefulness the young man was able to save the day.
Out came the web phone and he searched for prom flowers Georgetown MA. He found Nunans, found the blog and then found the facebook page for the frolic. He liked what he saw for pictures so they called told us the story and asked if we could help them out. We asked the color of the dress his response was: “I’ll do you one better here is a picture” and we sent it by email.
I received the picture of the dress: watery floral print with a hot pink sash and accents of turquoise and deep ruby red. The first thing I did was create a bracelet.
Nunan Florist created these bracelets for prom wristlettscorsagecorsage The The, they are a nice keepsake after the prom.
Then taking cues from the dress colors I made the base:
The final step was to pick up some of the other colors in the dress with the fresh flowers.
When they picked up the wristlett they both loved our corsage and proudly left to present it to the young lady for her first semi-formal dance!
