Fresh Flowers for Spring

30 March, 2011

A trend in fresh flowers for your home is to create mono-botanical (all one type of flower in a vase) designs. If you like  to arrange flowers for yourself you can bring in some of the vases you have at home. Look over the selection of fresh cut flowers and choose what will work in your  containers. We make it easy to pick up flowers as we have them displayed and read for you yo pick the ones you like for purchase. If you are not a do-it-yourselfer talk to our design staff and they can fill the vases for you with flowers from our flower department.

Nothing says spring like a square vase filled with 3 or 4 bunches of daffodils. Trim them all to one length and watch them open over the course of a few days.

Hyacinth as another spring flower that has unlimited uses in the home. Hyacinth blooms ares highly scented so don’t over do it with them.

Both Daffodils and Hyacinth exude a sap that other flowers don’t like so the mono-botanical style is perfect for them.

Tulips are a quintessential spring favorite they will follow the light so you will need to keep trimming them to keep them under control.

The Hottest trend in flowers is the Gerber daisy; everyone loves their fresh bright colors and sunny faces.
